DESCRIPTION

Carrot is a vegetable with a nutritious, juicy, orange, sweet taste. It is a root vegetable, usually orange, purple, red, white, or yellow in color, with a crisp texture when fresh. Carrots can be eaten in a variety of ways. The simplest way is raw as carrots are perfectly digestible without requiring cooking. Alternatively they may be chopped and boiled, fried or steamed, and cooked in soups. Egypt is a major cultivator Of carrots and its well known for its juicy, sweet taste.

NUTRITIONAL INFORMATION

The carrot gets its characteristic and bright orange colour from P-carotene, which is metabolized into vitamin A. Therefore it is rich in vit A and potassium. Carrots are known to help as an anti cancerous, anti turnoral and anti ulceric vegetable and its presence in the body guarantees good health of the vision, good state of the skin (although a lot of carrots gives the skin an orange color), good teeth and gums.
