DESCRIPTION

Broccoli is a cool-weather crop. It is a plant of the cabbage family. It possesses abundant arboreal, flower heads, usually green in color, arranged in a tree-like fashion on branches sprouting from a thick, edible, sturdy stalk. The mass of flower heads is surrounded by lavish leaves. The increasing demand of fresh and frozen broccoli in Egypt has encouraged cultivators and farmers to extend areas of cultivation.

Broccoli is a plant from the cabbage family. It is rich in Vit A&B, iron, calcium, zinc and lots of fibres. It is considered an energy boosting vegetable and its high contents of calcium helps to build the bones. Broccoli helps in fighting cancer, especially breast, colon and lung cancers. It boosts the immune system and helps in reducing the risk of heart disease
